Warranty Information

Hollywood Interiors goods and service come with guarantees that are in accordance with the Australia Consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be off acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. LIGHT FITTING & ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS

All light fittings will be warranted for a period of twelve (12) months.
This warranty only covers manufacturer defects in material and workmanship. Damage or faults as a result of any other cause is not covered. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper application or use, dirt and grit, physical damage, accidental damage, chemical damage, water damage, modifications, improper installation and/or poor maintenance.
All electrical and electronic components must be installed by a qualified licensed electrician. Failure to do so will void this warranty. Proof of installation by a licensed electrician must be presented to make any claims under this warranty.
Warranty is only extended to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase (original receipt) must be presented when making a warranty claim.
We reserve the right to offer any one of the following as remedies for any warranty issues:

Repair to faults
Replacement of product with an identical or similar product
Refund of purchase

All cartage and freight expenses will be borne by the customer.
Hollywood Interiors will not accept any liability for any injury, loss or damage resulting from improper installation, use or application of our products. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all light fittings are installed to a safe and reliable standard by their electrician.

LOUNGE

This warranty applies only to furniture used under normal household use and conditions. It does not include normal wear and usage. This warranty is non-transferable.

NORMAL WEAR & TEAR

Following delivery you may notice slight compression on the padding of your lounge. Straight after delivery and on a regular basis thereafter it is necessary to ensure the padding and cushions return to its initial appearance.
Softening of padding and cushions will occur over time. This will cause light creasing, wrinkling and slight stretching of the leather which is considered to be normal wear, enhancing the look and feel of leather.
Softening of seat cushions over time is completely normal and is not considered a defect in any way. Sitting on one particular seat most of the time will cause that seat to soften more than the others. For an even wear alternate your choice of seat regularly.

Lounges used for commercial purposes are not covered by any warranty. It is up to the discretion of Hollywood Interiors Service manager to decide warranty validity on a case-by-case basis.

Internal Frame and structure of our lounge – is covered by a 10-year warranty
Leather and Fabric, foam, fillings and stitching – is covered by a 10 Pro-Rata warranty against manufacturing defects. The Pro-Rata schedule is outlined in the table below.
Electric Components – Including motors, buttons, electric cables and power adapters, are covered by a 2-year warranty.
Non-electric Moving Parts – including headrest mechanisms, recliner mechanism and manual recliner cables are covered by a 10-year Pro-Rata warranty against manufacturing defects. The Pro-Rata schedule is outlined in the table below.

EXCLUSION TO THE WARRANTY

Sitting, standing and other means of exerting unreasonable weight on the headrest, armrest, footrest or any part of the lounge that was not designed to support weight.
General wear and tear, including piling, stretching of the leather or fabric or abrasion.
Falling or rough landing on any part of the lounge with force
Excessive damaged deemed ‘Misuse or neglect’. These include, but not limited to, broken frames caused by falling or landing on the lounge with force or snapped support base, frame or structure not caused by general use.
Removing parts or DIY fixes to any part of the lounge.

PRO-RATA SCHEDULE – LOUNGE

GLASS TABLES & CONSOLES

Frames and Structure – is covered by a 2-year limited warranty
Mechanism – of extensions tables are covered by a 12-month limited warranty
Hollywood Interiors tabletops made from Glass is only made with tempered glass. Although it is 5 times stronger than normal glass, it does not mean it cannot be scratched. We recommend using a place mate or tablecloth when possible, as well as using felt beneath vases or decors.
Tables used for commercial purposes are not covered by any warranty.

EXCLUSION TO THE WARRANTY

Marks or water marks caused by spillages of any liquid or food.
Scratches, dents or stains
Shattered or broken glass tables.
Damaged caused by sunlight or outdoor environments
Items purchased from floor stock or clearance that states ‘sold as is” or ‘condition as seen”.
Tables used for commercial purposes, such as, but not limit to, restaurants, cafes or bars, on common property, short term apartments or hotel rooms.

TIMBER TABLES & CONSOLES

Frames and Structure – is covered by a 2-year limited warranty
Mechanism – of extensions tables are covered by a 12-month limited warranty
Natural timber characteristics will be present in each table and will vary as nature intended. Natural timber is a product that changes with the environment over time, such as contracting and expanding. The table may exhibit changes in its surface and shape. Changes may include hairline cracks and openings. These are not to be confused with a fault, for the changes will not cause damages to the structural integrity of the table.
Tables used for commercial purposes are not covered by any warranty.

STONE TOP TABLES & CONSOLES

Frames and Structure – is covered by a 2-year limited warranty
Mechanism – of extensions tables are covered by a 12-month limited warranty
Tables used for commercial purposes are not covered by any warranty.

It is essential to note that stones and marble tops have limits, and a higher degree of care is required for stones that have more porous surfaces, such as marble, for it will be more prone to stains than others. These surfaces may be damaged by liquids or food if not attended to quickly.

EXCLUSIONS

Marks, water marks or stains caused by spillages, including wine, water, sift drinks or any liquids
Marks or stains caused by food
Dents or scratches not advised within 24 hours of delivery
Cracks not advised on delivery
Items purchased from floor stock or clearance that states ‘sold as is” or ‘condition as seen”.
Tables used for commercial purposes, such as, but not limit to, restaurants, cafes or bars, on common property, short term apartments or hotel rooms.

DINING CHAIRS & BARSTOOLS

Synthetic Leather – Dining Chairs are covered by a 1year limited warranty for the frame and structure
Leather and Fabric – Dining Chairs are covered by a 2-year limited warranty for the frame and structure.
Stitching - of all dining chairs are covered by a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects
Foam and padding – of all dining chairs are covered by 12 months limited warranty against manufacturer defects. This does NOT include compressed foam due to sitting.
Synthetic and Fabric Barstools – are covered by 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects
Chairs and barstools used for commercial purposes are not covered by any warranty.

All other furniture (i.e. Wall Units, Display Units, Buffets ) unless specified are warranted for 12 months.

NOVELTY CHAIRS & OTTOMAN

Internal Frame & Structure - 12 months limited warranty (subject to our exclusion clauses)
Stitching - 12 month limited warranty (subject to our exclusion clauses)

EXCLUSIONS

Our warranty does not cover any incidental or consequential damage, including loss of time, usage or money. In no event shall the responsibility of Hollywood Interiors / Hollywood Lighting & Decor exceed the purchase price of the product or its replacement.

If identical materials are not available at the time of repair, Hollywood Interiors / Hollywood Lighting & Decor reserves the right to substitute materials of equal quality and value.

Our warranties do not cover or extend to any of the following cases:

Change of address - Due to a number of factors, your warranty from us is only covered for the address your goods were delivered to.
Neglect or misuse - All items of furniture and lighting, some more than others, require proper care and maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, regular cleaning and proper use. Damage caused to your furniture or lighting product as a result of lack of care or misuse, treatment, transportation, or storage of the product or otherwise caused by customer's direct actions or oversight will void the warranty.
Wrinkling or natural makings to the skin, variations in grain, or colour resulting from the natural creases of the leather. These are proof that only genuine leather has been used;
cracking or peeling of the leather;
damage caused by burns, cuts, animals, or other forms of abuse;
Opening or removing parts of your furniture or light fitting. If you feel something is wrong with your furniture or other products purchased at our stores, please contact us immediately to report the concern. Attempting to fix it yourself may void your warranty.
Wear and tear. Regular use of lounges, furniture or other commonly used items of furniture may exhibit signs of wear and tear, including creases, indentations, stretching leather, small marks, colour fading, piling and other signs. These are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty.
Damaged caused by exposing products to the direct sunlight, excessive heat or cold, chemicals that are known to cause irreparable damage to the finish of your products.
Body impressions on foams, sofas, mattresses with indentation less than 32mm.
Defects resulting from usage of your product in conjunction with accessories that are not approved by Hollywood Interiors fr use with your product.
Failure of the product arising from incorrect installation or assembly.
Accidents, Act of God, lightning, water, fire, public disturbances, paranormal activites in you house in your absence, improper ventilations, voltage fluctuations or any cause beyond the control of Hollywood Interiors or your product.
Unauthorised modifications, of any kind, carried out to the product.
Imperfections and potential faults, in products that are sold "as is" which were brought to your attention, prior to finalising the purchase.
Imperfections which are considered a characteristic of the products, rough finishes in products sold as distressed design; buff marks on stainless steel and visible grains on natural cowhides and leather products.
Product use for commercial intentions, rental trade, institutional or other
Damages caused by improper mounting of the products. (All mounting merchandise should be mounted using individual brackets, avoid the use of chain, cable ties or wire).
Breakage of mirrors or glass and products containing mirrors or glass components.
Furniture previously repaired other than Hollywood Interiors / Hollywood Lighting & Decor will void the warranty;
Our warranty does not cover packaging or transportation costs to and from the manufacturer, retailer or other repair point as determined by Hollywood Interiors / Hollywood Lighting & Decor.
